WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 2005--Isocore today announced the technical program for the MPLS 2005 International Conference which will provide a forum for leading MPLS vendors, test equipment manufacturers, premier Service Providers, and large enterprise network clients to showcase next generation MPLS products, applications and services. The conference will be held October 16-19, 2005, in Washington DC.

MPLS 2005 is the 8th premier annual conference and exhibition focused on emerging Internet technologies. This event consists of tutorials, technical sessions, panel discussions, and exhibits. Presentations by industry-leading experts focus on the latest developments of IP, MPLS, GMPLS, and related networking technologies. In addition, there will be two panel sessions which will encourage audience participation in a lively discussion. Exhibitors will showcase their cutting-edge products and services at the conference exhibits.

Hosted by Isocore, MPLS 2005 is supported by leading service providers and organizations including ATT, BtNAccess, Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom, KDDI, MCI, NTT, Verizon, Acreo and MFA Forum; and vendors including ADC, Alcatel, Avici Systems, Chiaro Networks, Ciena Corporation, Cisco Systems, ECI Telecom, Extreme Networks, Fujitsu, IXIA, Juniper Networks, KeiHanNa Consortium (NICT, NTT, KDDI, Fujitsu, NEC, Mitsubishi, Keio University), Lucent Technologies, Mangrove Systems, Nortel Networks, Redback Networks, Reef Point Systems, Spirent Communications, Tellabs, and WANDL.

During the conference, Isocore will showcase a live proof of concept deployment of broadband Ethernet Triple Play services across Inter-AS VPN based on VPLS and point-to-point Pseudowires. The topology is realized using products from Alcatel, Cisco Systems, and Redback using BTNAccess' carrier grade International MPLS backbone.

The conference will be followed by the 6th Public interoperability demonstration to be held on October 20, which will showcase, for the first time in the industry, the delivery of true IPTV, VoIP and Data over common converged network supporting multicast Layer 2 and 3 VPNs. Furthermore, an interoperability of IPv6 VPNs over IPv4 MPLS will be demonstrated across a fully resilient core. At the optical layer, GMPLS addressing, various MPLS to GMPLS migration strategies, and GMPLS-UNI will be demonstrated.
