Keio University Yamanaka Lab. has activities in the "Reconfigurable Communication Processor over Lambda" Project formued by Alaxala Network, NTT Network Innocation Labs., and Keio University. In this project, Virtual Packet Optical Node is constructed with "Reconfigurable Communication Processor (RCP) " resources interconnected via high-speed and flexible optical network. “Resource pool” of hardware modules on RCPs can adaptively provide multiple service slices. Yamanaka Lab. will develop a resource pool management and contrl system using the Biologocal Attractor Selection (BAS) method. The BAS method has a merit which is possible to follow node and network environmental changes with keeping the suboptimal state. This project is partly supported by supported by National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) of Japan.


Isocore provides technology validation, certification and product evaluation services in emerging and next-generation Internet and wireless technologies. Isocore is leading validation and interoperability of novel technologies including Carrier Ethernet, IPv6, IP Optical Integration, wireless backhauling and Layer 2/3 Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and currently focuses on IPTV service deployment architecture validation and design. Major router and switch vendors, service providers, and test equipment suppliers participate in Isocore activities. Isocore has major offices in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
