ABOUT MPLS 2006

MPLS 2006, to be held in Washington DC, October 15-18, is the 9th annual International Conference on Multi Protocol Label Switching and related technologies. The conference is part of a series that was was pioneered in 1998 with the first ever conference on MPLS. Since its inception, the conference has become the premier event on the subject of MPLS, Generalized MPLS (GMPLS), IP-Optical, and emerging Internet technologies.

The conference program consists of tutorials, technical sessions, as well as service provider and vendor panel discussions. An exhibit area showcases products and services from industry leaders. Keynotes are given each year by high-profile experts - last year at MPLS 2005, FCC Commissioner Kathleen Abernathy discussed the regulatory framework for IP-enabled services.

The MPLS 2005 International Conference is sponsored and supported by leaders of the Internet industry from both service provider and vendor community. The conference will be followed by the 7th Public Interoperability Demonstration which will take place at the Isocore Internetworking Lab.

On October 16-20, Isocore hosted the 8th annual International Conference on Multi-Protocol Label Switching. The technical program for MPLS 2005 covered a wide array of IP networking topics such as Broadband Services, Multicast MPLS, Point-to-Multipoint (P2MP) Traffic Engineering, Metro Ethernet, GMPLS/Optical Networks, Triple-Play Services, and Multi-Domain MPLS.
